This is the privacy policy for Alcohol Countermeasure Systems Corp. and its related companies ("ACS"). This document explains ACS's policies for the collection, use and disclosure of personal information. ACS abides by applicable privacy legislation.

ACS designs, manufactures and installs alcohol testing equipment such as alcohol ignition interlocks.

ACS collects information by various methods including information actively provided by its customers, credit checks, information provided by provincial and state authorities, and information provided by alcohol interlock devices.
The types of personal information we collect include names, contact information, credit information, payment information, driving and driving offense records, and interlock provided information regarding vehicle use and breath test readings.
We may record calls to or from our customer service representatives for purposes of accuracy, performance reviews and training.

This information is used to provide our services, including customer service and billing.
ACS may use aggregate or anonymous information which will not be linked to identified individuals for various other uses for itself and third parties.

ACS does not share personal information with any third parties except as disclosed in this policy. ACS may provide personal information to its related companies, consultants, subcontractors and professional advisers (which shall be bound by privacy obligations) to assist ACS's uses disclosed herein. Certain information regarding vehicle interlocks, their users, and the operation of the interlocks and the vehicles in which they are installed are provided to applicable provincial or state driving authorities as required by them.

Personal information is stored in a combination of paper and electronic files. They are protected by security measures appropriate to the nature of the information.

Individuals may review their personal information contained in ACS files by contacting the ACS privacy officer. If an individual believes that any of their personal information is inaccurate, we will make appropriate corrections.

ACS may amend this policy from time to time by posting an updated version on our website. If such amendments affect how ACS uses or discloses personal information already held by ACS in a material way, ACS will obtain consent.

Notwithstanding the general terms of this policy, the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information may be made outside of the terms herein to the extent provided for in any applicable privacy or other legislation in effect from time to time, or pursuant to court orders.

ACS may disclose personal information to another entity purchasing (including for diligence purposes prior to purchase) the assets of ACS, provided that entity abides by this or a similar privacy policy.
